알람시계가 울리기전 눈이 떠 져서 밖을 보니 조금 어둑하다. 몇시인데 알람이 안 울지 하며 일어 나니 알람이 운다. 알람을 끄고 다시 누웠다. 일어나기 싫어 이불을 끌어 안고 잠깐 누웠을 때 편안함. 눈을 뜨니 한 시간이 흘러버렸다. 괜히 누웠다고 후회한다.
첫 수업을 들어가서 앉아 있으니 잠이 쏟아진다. 오늘 보통때보다 두시간이나 많이 잤는데 졸리다니 내 자신이 한심스럽다. 두번째 수업이 다른 건물에 있어 나름 열심이 걸어 갔더니 앞자리에 모두 공책만 올려져 있는 것을 보고 짜증남. 결국 8번째 줄에 앉았나? 세번째 수업시간 퀴즈를 본다고 3문제를 내시는 교수님. 문제를 아무리 보고 있어도 손 댈 엄두가 나지 않는다. 1년 지났다지만 아무것도 풀지 못하는 내 자신이 너무 답답하다. 제일 앞에 앉아서 하나도 못 풀고 앉아 있는데 교수님이 계속 보신다. 민망스럽다. 네번째 수업은 채플이다. 컴퓨터로 좌석을 확인하고 강당에 들어가며 친구에게 자리가 어딘지 묻는다. 좌석에 앉을려고 보는데 친구가 앉아 있다. '내가 이 자리 아니냐?' '글쎄 내가 너한테 내 자리라고 말 한거 아니었냐?' 다시 나와 좌석을 확인하니 내가 틀렸다. 들어가 앉을려고 보니 좌석번호가 기억나지 않는다. 또 다시 걸어 나가 벽에 붙어 있는 좌석 번호를 확인하고 앉았다. 건망증이 심한건지, 아니면 기억하기 싫어하는 건지 바보스럽다.
2시반에 수업이 끝나니 배고프고 피곤하다. 친구와 식당에서 밥을 먹고 나오면서 구석에서 2살정도 되는 아이가 엄마와 놀고 있다. 웃는 아이를 보니 즐겁다. 기분이 좋아진다. 도서관에 앉아 책을 펴니 전화가 온다. 지숙누님이 학교까지 오신단다. 오랜만에 뵙는 지숙누님을 보니 반갑다. 학교까지 찾아 오셨는데 지숙누님이 또 돈을 쓰셨다. 미안하다. 다음에 꼭 보답 해 드려야지.
씻고 바로 누워야지 했느데 결국은 또 컴퓨터를 켰다. 이제 자야지...........
