믿음의 귀한 삶을 사는 이용규 선교사의 모습이 부럽다. 나도 할 수 있다. 하지만 그 용기를 내지 못하고 그저 부럽다고만 한다. 내가 지금 얻는 평안은 하나님께 내려놓음으로 인해 얻는 게 아니라 생각하지 않으므로 채우려는 마음일 것이다.
광야에서의 삶이 어떤 의미인지 안다. 영국에서의 삶의 모습들이 이용규 선교사가 겪었던 광야의 삶과 같았다. 늘 하나님께서 입혀주시고 재워주셨던 삶들을 기억한다. 그때의 모습을 지금은 만들어가지 못하고 있다. 왜일까? 풍요로움 때문이 아닐까? 풍요로움으로 인한 게으름을 벗어버리고 광야에서의 삶을 살아가는 모습으로 바꿔야하겠다.

운전면허 적성검사 :: 2008/02/04 22:58

2007년 5월 9일까지가 운전면허 적성검사 기간이었다. 게으르다 보니 운전면허 갱신을 하지 않고 있다가 오늘에서야 면허증을 갱신했다. 2월 9일을 넘으면 또 다시 벌금을 내야되므로 오늘 다녀 올 수 밖에 없었다.
11시 50분에 강남운전면허 시험장에 도착하여 대기표를 뽑았다. 대기인원 160명. 서류를 작성해서 기다리다가 가까이 근무하는 현수와 점심을 먹기위해 번호표를 다시 뽑고 나왔다. 점심을 먹고 오니 처음 뽑았던 번호가 다가왔기에 기다릴려고 보니 서류에 사진과 인지를 붙이지 않았다. 인지를 사서 서류에 사진과 같이 붙였다. 점심 먹으로 가기 전에 뽑았던 번호가 되어 서류를 제출했더니 왜 신체검사를 받지 않았느냐며 신체 검사를 받고 오라고 한다.
다시 번호표를 뽑았다. 대기인원 180명. 처음 왔을 때 680번 접수를 받고 있었는데 이번 번호표는 150번. 신체검사를 받고 기다리자니 지루하다. 가져왔던 책도 다 읽었고 신문도 없고 책 살 수 있는 곳도 없다. 졸립다. 서류 제출하고 운전면허증을 받았는데 2시 50분이다.
3시간이면 갔다 올 줄 알았는데 5시간 걸렸다.

면허시험장에 도착해서 먼저 번호표를 뽑고 적성검사 신청서를 작성 한 후 인지(10000 원)를 구입 후 사진과 함께 신청서에 붙인다. 신체검사를 받기위 별관으로 간다. 검사를 받고 본관1층으로 돌아와 기다리다가 순번이 되면 신청서 제출. 15분 정도 기다리면 면허증이 발급된다.

밤 10시 반. 연구실을 나와 집에가기 위해 엘리베이터를 탔다. 무슨 생각을 하며 버튼을 눌렀는지 모르지만 엘리베이터가 내려가기 시작했다. 금방 도착해야 할 2층인데 계속 내려간다는 느낌이 들어 버튼을 누른 층 수를 보니 지하 1층이다. 무슨 생각을 하며 탔는지도 모르겠다. 그저 집에 빨리 가서 자야겠다는 생각을 한 것인가. 생각 없이 행동이 늘지 않아야 하는데 자꾸 일어난다.

주보작업을 어제 했어야 했다. 중근 형과 상의해서 앞으로 주일 아침 새벽기도 마치고 주보작업을 하기로 했다. 그리하여 어제 일찍 잠이 들었고 긴장을 하고 자서 그런건지 새벽에 알람이 울리기 전에 눈이 떠 졌다. 새벽기도를 가기 위해 옷을입고 교회로 향했다.
주일 낮 예배 시간에는 잠이 와 빨리 끝났으면 좋겠다는 생각을 하는데 잠을 제대로 자지 못하고 일찍 일어나서 나온 새벽기도 시간엔 잠이 오지 않는다.
6시 쯤 사무실로 향하기 위해 엘리베이터를 탔는데 장로님께서 왜 3층 가냐고 물으신다. 사무실 들렀다 가기 위해서 입니다. 했더니 새벽에 불이 켜져 있던데 나올 때 불끄고 나오란다. 새벽에 형이 미리 왔다 간건가 생각하며 사무실에 들어 가니 불은 꺼져 있다. 형이 미리 끝내 놨었다. 이른 새벽에 나와서 했나보다.
새벽기도 끝나고 같이 하자고 해 놓고서는 미리 와 끝내버리다니 미안하다.
오랜만에 새벽기도다. 꾸준히 이어져야 할 시간이다.

교육이 아침 10시부터 오후 5시 까지다. 오늘은 밤새 연구실에서 놀다가 연구실에 잤는데 일어 나니 아침 9시 반이다. 교육장에 도착하니 11시다. 12시부터 점심식사 시간이다. 오늘은 선영이와 재원 형이 오지 않았기 때문에 점심먹고 학교로 갈려고 출석체크 언제 하느냐 물어 보니 끝날 때 한다고 한다. 보통 아침 수업 시작 전에 부르던 출석을 오늘은 끝나고 부른다고 한다. 운전면허 적성검사 받으러 가야하는 오늘의 일정이 없어졌다. 들어도 무슨 말인지 모르는 수업을 듣고 있자니 답답하다.
결국은 수업을 모두 듣고 학교로 왔다.
